#throwback to last year Taiwan trip! Sorry for late post as I wasn't free to blog as often as I could. Long post ahead, do sit back, drink a cup of tea and bite some snack while reading through!

Trees and scenery along the way. It a hot and sunny weekday. Do remember to apply some sunblock or wear a hat/cap when you're visiting the area!

Rainbow Military Dependents’ Village is renowned for the beautiful paintings that grace the walls of the buildings. The artworks are completed by veteran, Mr. Huang, who was born in Hong Kong and was a staunch anti-Communist in Mainland China. After the Kuomintang (KMT), the ruling party of R.O.C., lost the Chinese Civil War, he retreated to Taiwan with the KMT military and began living in this village permanently. In 2008, he came up with the idea of painting the walls of his village in assorted colours. Starting from his house, he gradually painted house by house until he had finished the whole block.

Look at this adorable cats pattern! Aww!

And here's the monkey!

There's even a pushcart nearby selling drinks and snacks to serve the tourists. As you can see, the sun is scotching hot!

There's a man in a suit, helping tourist to take beautiful photos.
Please note: You have to queue if you wish to take a photo with him!
The photos eventually turned out so beautiful (We did not have the chance to, the queue was pretty long)

Singing songs for the tourists

Some hanging seashells along the rainbow village :)

As usual, the jump shot. Yes, and it successes! :D

After visiting the Rainbow Military Village, we continued our rides to Flower Market (中社花市).
Opening hours: 9am to 6pm
Website: http://www.flowerjs.com.tw/

With my eldest sister! The amount of flowers shocked me real hard! When I stepped in, I was like, WOW! So beautiful!

Assorted flowers :D

My eldest sister with the dwarfs!

Found the heart shape leaf! AWW!

My back view

LAVENDER? It's my favourite!!

The feeling of playing a piano in a patch of nowhere?!

Then, we found a hut alike place for photo taking, taking turns to take some nice pictures :)

Sunflower for you? 😉

All kind of roses you will see at the flower market,
(Rose, pink, white, yellow, blue!!)
OMG! 😍

Yes, and that is the end of the trip to Flower Market! Along the way to Lavender Cottage, we saw a vehicle selling little chicks. Some are even dyed with colours 😓 Why does people tortured them?!

On the way up to the mountain, visiting Lavender Cottage!

Here we come, took around an hour to reach via cab with our driver! More of a café hopping at Taiwan as well 😜

We got starving and had our lunch at Lavender Cottage. Followed by going around taking chops stamp which was listed in the pamphlets!

I ordered the aligo olio spaghetti!

While my eldest sister ordered the Chicken set with fries.

Saw a 19 years old lady, and she's working part time during the school holiday! Such a beautiful lady, don't you think so?

My eldest sis took this wall photos inside the toilet, different cubicle have different image, hence she hop here and there just to take the photos! 😀

Spot a Merry-Go-Round nearby, with some kids inside. 😀

The moment I saw the slope and steps....
Time to exercise.
The area is not wheelchair friendly, so if you are intending to get anyone there with wheelchair assistance, the person must stay bottom.

A huge leaf to hide as a shelter!

Top at the mountain! Completed the steps successfully!!

Not much of the Lavender flowers around as it's not the season period.

Wishing tree! Did I? Yes, just a short simple wish.

Huge colour pencils, have you seen it before? LOL

Next stop, Princess Annie’s Garden Restaurant, Feng Jia Night Market, will be posted in PART 3.
